The Dean organisation commenced operations in 1982, providing a comprehensive range of consulting, customs classification, import data management and broking services to companies operating in the Textile, Clothing and Footwear (TCF) industries.

Many of those companies remain with us today as long standing, highly-valued customers, with whom we have developed mutually rewarding partnerships, sharing common goals of ongoing improvement and greater cost efficiencies in all areas of operations.

Our freight forwarding division handles both seafreight and airfreight operations for a quickly expanding customer list. The establishment by Dean of strategic working alliances with like-minded and similarly-structured forwarding companies in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, India, and New Zealand followed.

Further expansion of our operations included a growing number of companies not involved in TCF and this was the catalyst for what has been the continuing growth of our many, and highly successful, offshore strategic alliances. We, in turn have evolved into an 'all seasons' operator providing a full range of cargo management and logistics services on a global basis. Our marketing emphasis has always been one of specialisation. To that end, we concentrate at all times on providing solutions tailored to meet the specific supply chain management and logistical needs of each individual customer.

Recently, in acknowledgment of our role as a provider of truly international services, we have adopted a new name - Dean World Cargo. We believe the change better reflects our expanded - and expanding - activities in world trade and our commitment to excellence in global cargo management.

The name Dean World Cargo also reflects not only our current position, but also the strong customer service philosophy we will carry with us as we go forward, continuing to grow and helping our customers grow with us in the future and prepared, as always, to do that little bit extra to ensure that all our customers receive the most personalised, efficient and cost-effective cargo management and logistics services possible.
