Our Customs division operates a fully integrated
internet based system that incorporates freight forwarding and accounting,
using Cargowise’s Enterprise and WebTracker systems, with direct
interface to Australian Customs via CMR.
An integral part of the development of our
customs system has been the integration of our offshore partners.
This gives us the ability to capture data from our cargo management
system and create seamless customs entries.
We have encouraged our brokers to become
managers of data rather than processors with the emphasis on classification,
concessional opportunities and accuracy.
We are currently processing over 15,000 entries
per annum with the emphasis being on operations efficiency via improved
systems.
I.T. Systems
Dean and Wako utilise the same I.T. system, as provided by Customwise’s
Enterprise forwarding, brokerage and tracking system.
Customwise has been providing solutions to
the freight forwarding and logistics industry since the early 90’s,
and their Enterprise package provides the necessary systems to enable
Dean/Wako to compete in the new industry framework of eCommerce
and instant communication.
Dean and Wako’s identical systems allow our
various branches to share information in real time, directly uploading
and downloading consolidation and shipment information, supplier
and invoice information, and accounts. The shared platform protects
the integrity of all data and enables us to effectively automate
processes such as Customs’ reporting.
Dean/Wako have also invested in specific
customisation of the system to best suit our own needs, including
the creation of a Class A/B module that is specific to the multiple
supplier consolidation services that we offer our top clients.
Further customisation of the system
for clients’ needs is also performed. We work with you on your exact
reporting requirements or electronic data importing needs.
