Shanghai on the cusp of resuming normal operations
Valued customers
With Shanghai on the cusp of unlocking its manufacturing and unshackling frustrated container exports, we expect that the space will be very tight until all the delayed orders have been fulfilled.
As we are entering the usual annual peak season and with significant reduced capacity, the rates will be expected to rise as a result.
In view of the continuous and stable decline of the Covid confirmed cases in SHA, it was announced on May 29th that from Jun 1st to mid-late June, SHA will be aiming to fully restore the normal order of production and life across the city with routine Covid-19 prevention and control measures, while strictly preventing any resurgence of Covid-19.
The action plans include but not limited to :
– Eliminate the 666 white list and no limitation from Jun.
– Public transport is orderly back to normal.
– Private cars are allowed on the road.
– 72 hours test report is a must on public transport and in public area.
Meantime SHA communities are still under partial lockdown which means some manpower are still not able to go back to work. This will have a certain effect on trucking and some manufacturers may choose to work at reduced capacity, which would translate into delayed orders.
We will keep our customers updated on regular basis with the progress of the Covid resurgence in Shanghai
