Chinese Ports Update: Nansha and Yantian Ports
Due to severe congestions and backlog of unprocessed vessels, Nansha port has stopped service as of the 23rd of June and all activities such as empty pick-up or laden gate-in are not allowed until further notice.
Due to the recent closure of Yantian port, shipping lines have started to call on Nansha port instead causing the port to handle above its own capacity, which resulted in this temporary closure.
On the other hand, Yantian port is now open again as of today, and has resumed full operations. Yantian port will be clearing a large backlog of rolled bookings and is expected to be congested in the next few weeks.
