Dear Valued Customer,

DEAN World Cargo understands the importance of keeping our customer updated on all important changes within the supply chain arena. In this instalment of the DEAN World Cargo monthly bulletin, we discuss the following changes.

2. Sydney congestions and clearing the backlog
3. Sea freight rates and space from China until the end of 2020

Airfreight as a viable mode of transport in light of the current circumstances

DEAN World Cargo would like to encourage our valued customers to explore the airfreight option to ensure that your goods are available for the festive season sales.

We now have access to multiple airlines offering a host of direct and deferred service into all airports in Australia and while the rates are still inflated, they have come down a great deal since the start of the Covid19 pandemic.

For a complete estimate on costs and full comparison with our sea freight options, please do not hesitate to contact your DEAN World Cargo’s Account Manager or Customer Service Executive.

Should you have any questions regarding the above, please do not hesitate to contact your DEAN World Cargo Account Manager.

Sydney congestions and clearing the backlog

We would like to inform our valued customers that despite the lifting of the Industry Action in Sydney, clearing the existing backlog has continued to prove a challenge for all port operators.

There has been undoubtedly an improvement in the overall turn around time of container delivery, however regular turnaround time may take weeks to be restored to usual service levels.

Should you have any questions regarding the above, please do not hesitate to contact your DEAN World Cargo Account Manager.

Sea freight rates and space from China until the end of 2020

Needless to say, 2020 has been a very challenging year in all aspects and supply chain was no exception.

The demand continues to be higher than supply for all imports from China into Australia making space availability quite tight, and subsequently pushing the rates up to unprecedented levels.

These conditions may well continue to the end of the year and some even forecast that the trend may be stretched to the Chinese New year and well into Q1 of 2021.

We will update our valued customers regularly and your DEAN World Cargo service team will undoubtedly do its utmost best to ensure your cargo arrives on time and within budget.

Should you have any questions regarding the above, please do not hesitate to contact your DEAN World Cargo Account Manager.
