Seafreight Rates – GRI January 1st 2017

We have received notification from the shipping lines that a GRI will be implemented as of the 1st January 2017.

Indications are that the GRI will be in the vicinity of USD$300 per TEU. This will be implemented across all Asian ports.

As an indication that demand is still quite strong leading into Chinese New Year we are expecting this GRI to be implemented in full.

Once we have final confirmation of the GRI from the shipping lines next week we will updating rate schedules and sending them out accordingly.
