NEW INFRASTRUCTURE SURCHARGE DP WORLD AUSTRALIA’S SYDNEY TERMINAL FROM 3 APRIL 2017

Dear Valued Customer,

DP World has advised that from the 17th of April, 2017 they will be increasing the infrastructure surcharge for full containers in Melbourne from $3.50 to $32.60 per container as per below links. DP World sights a number of reasons for the increase; introduction of competition, consolidation, privatization, increases in the cost such as rent, land tax and council rates.
Based on similar reasons DP World will be implementing a surcharge of $21.16 per container in the Sydney terminal.

DEAN World Cargo strongly disapproves of the significant increase in charges at both terminals, hence through our industry representatives being Freight & Trade Alliance and the CBFCA we will pursuing this matter further.

Regrettably, in the meantime we have no option but to pass on the additional costs bourne by these changes by DP World to our customers
