Ocean Rate Update Ex China
Valued Client
The China Australia trade line is defying gravity with Ocean rates rising again. The shipping lines are holding their ground and implementing a further GRI on November 15. The increases will be USD 150 per TEU for Hong Kong and Shekou and USD 200 per TEU for Central and Northern ports.
Loading are obviously strong and are expected to stay that way until December 2017. As the Chinese New Year is Mid February 2018. We can expected the market to remain tight with only a slight reprise end of December 2017/ January 2018, if at all.
Looking ahead, 2018 will well exceed the rate structure of 2017 with corresponding pressure on space so give our team plenty of notice if you can to ensure loading.
Kind Regards,
