Peak Season Sea Freight Bookings

Pre China Golden Holiday Bookings

It has been notable over the last month or so that space has tightened up considerably out of some regions in China and also Vietnam and Cambodia.
Whilst rates have not necessarily reflected this up to this point, overall certain ports have felt the strain.

Market rates are due to increase on Sept 1 by USD250 per TEU and no doubt the space issue above will add to the existing price pressure.
Reliability has always been our mantra and our key carrier relationships have held us in good stead. OOCL will do all they can to meet our expectations.

Over the next 2 months can you please let Michelle know your requirements and be prepared to have a second choice even though that may be at a higher rate.
As part of your planning also let us know if any cargo can be delayed for a week as this will help the overall load situation.
Vietnam is particularly tight mainly due to lack of empty containers so it’s critical Michelle knows your requirements here as well.
We trust you understand the market situation and as always we will do our best to uplift all cargo as planned.

Kind Regards
